Ok so I read a Shakespearean play in my English class, Much Ado About Nothing. I decided to rewrite the story but with My OC, my sister's OC, and a bunch of video game characters. Here's the cast:

Leonato: Hades (Kid Icarus Uprising)
Antonio: Poseidon (Kid Icarus Uprising)
Hero: Jade (My sister's OC)
Claudio: Link (The Legend of Zelda)
Beatrice: Calpurnia (My OC)
Benedick: Pit (Kid Icarus Uprising)
Don Pedro/Prince: Marth (Fire Emblem)
Don John the Bastard: Ike (Fire Emblem)
Borachio: Snake (Metal Gear Solid)
Conrade:Ganon (The Legend of Zelda)
Margaret: Samus (Metriod)
Ursula: Peach (Mario Bros.)

I tried my best to remember all the characters I used. The story may seem a little off and I apologize. I'm still working on my writing skills. The highlighted and underlined words mean either the start of a new scene or act.
Enjoy!

I'll edit the problems later.

Act 2:

An hour before sunset the masquerade began to take place. Hades, Poseidon, Jade, and Calpurnia, along with their servants Samus and Peach, were standing at the base of the stairs. Ike, Ganon, and Snake, dressed as devil, a dragon, and hunter, respectively, were hanging out at the side of the room.

Hades was dressed as a skeleton, Poseidon as a serpent, Jade as a sexy Red Riding Hood, Calpurnia as a gothic punk witch, Peach as princess, and Samus as an alien. Each wore a mask to go with their costume. Everybody wore a mask.

Peach went to dance with Mario, who was dressed as a knight, Samus had a short dance with Pit, who was dressed as a vampire. Hades quickly drew Jade to the side before her first dance.

“Jade,” said King Hades, “You’re old enough to make your own decisions-“

“Damn straight!”

“Yes, and I just want you to know that you don’t have to worry about who you date. Just go for it, ok?”

“No backsies!” Jade chirped happily before skipping away. That was basically Jade talk for “yes”.

Hades smiled and he turned to his other daughter. “You too have the same blessing, Calpurnia.”

“Oh please, when pigs fly.”

“You’ll never get a husband with so much venom dripping of your tongue.”

“Better to have some strength than none. The moment I lose my venom, I’ll become soft, and weak.”

“But still, I hope that you find a good husband.” The King said, wishing good will.

“Like I said… ‘When pigs fly.’” Calpurnia spat before going off to dance.

Soon afterward, Marth and Link entered the grand hall where the dance was held. Marth was dressed as a dark colored wolf and Link was dressed as a white wolf.

Marth disguised as Link walked up to Jade and offered his hand, “Care to dance, fair princess?”

Jade giggled softly, “It would be my pleasure.” She took his hand and the two went to dance. The two moved lightly on their feet, graceful moving around each other and in sync.

“You dance beautifully, Princess Jade.”

“You do too, Sir…”

“Link, my name is Link, fair princess.” Marth told the princess as he swung her into a dip. “But enough about me, please tell me about yourself, fair lady.”

As Jade and Marth danced together Pit and Calpurnia were soon dancing with each other, unaware of the other’s identity.

“Will you tell me who you are?” Calpurnia asked, curious to know.

Pit chuckled and responded, “Now what fun would that be? Why not keep the mystery?”

“That sounds something like Captain Icarus would say,” The witch princess said mockingly, “but as you wish.” Calpurnia took Pit’s hands and began to dance with him. They swayed and steeped to the beat of the music. “Have you heard of him?”

Pit thought it would be fun to see what this mystery woman thought of him. “Of Captain Icarus? Yes I have, but I’ve never talked to him personally. Have you met him?”

“Yes, he’s the King’s jester, a dull fool. Not to mention a little spineless and annoying. I personally think he needs to man up.” She bantered.

Those words stung Pit’s heart like a poisonous icicle. Yow! Rude much?... I’m I really that bad? “Hmm, well the next time I see him I’ll tell him that you said that.”

“Be sure to, but he’ll most likely make fun of me too. He’ll still feel bad. Anyway, let’s dance.”

As the dance continued, Ike and Snake walked over to Link, ready to enact their plan.

Ike lightly tapped Link on his shoulder to get his attention. He obviously couldn’t give any clues to his plan, so he thought of something quick. “Excuse me, are you Captain Icarus?”

“I am.” Link told Ike.

“You’re close to my brother right? Then surely you must’ve heard the news?”

“What news?”

“See the red riding hood girl and that dark wolf? That’s actually Marth and Princess Jade. He really likes her. I hear he plans to ask her to be his girlfriend.”

“I heard the Prince say it himself.” Snake added.

Link felt a little tug at his heartstrings. “What do you mean?”

Ike could see that he was getting to Link. Underneath his mask, a mischievous smiled curled across his lips. “I mean just look at them. Their body language, their voices, the look on the Princess’s face. You can practically see the chemistry radiating from them.”

Link’s anger and jealousy only grew with each passing second. He didn’t want to believe it, but it was all right there. That traitor! Link thought to himself. “Please excuse me.” The white dog said as calmly as he could without sounding angry. Soon he walked out of the grand hall. He didn’t care where he was going, he just wanted to get out of there. As he was storming down the hall, his anger was festering and boiling inside him. “I can’t believe it! He totally betrayed me! UGH! It was a dumb plan to begin with! Who wouldn’t go for a jewel like Princess Jade!? I should’ve just done it myself!!!!”

Unaware to Link, Calpurnia was following him, seeing as the angel saw Link storm out of the room.

Once Calpurnia caught up with Link, he saw the hyrulian sulking by the window. “Hey Link?”

“Yup, that’s me.”

“Do you wanna go back to the dance? I heard that Marth won over Jade.”

“I hope they’ll be very happy together.” Link said sarcastically.

“No, you numbskull! Jade loves you!”

“What do you mean?”

Calpurnia then explained how it was all a misunderstanding. Link didn’t believe it at first, but then they went to Marth. After the Prince confirmed the truth, Link smiled, not only out of happiness, but relief as well.

Jade reached out and gently clasped Link’s hand, intertwining her fingers with his. “Do you really like me?” the Princess’s cheeks turned a rosy pink. Link’s cheeks did the same, but turned a darker hue.

He took a deep breath and mustered up all of his courage. Link felt like his heart was going to burst from his chest. “I do. I truly do.”

Jade gave Link’s hand a light squeeze. She looked up into his ocean blue eyes with her amethyst ones. “I really like you too.”

“Hooray for the happy couple!” King Hades joyously cheered.

Jade blushed and rolled her eyes. “DAD~!” she whined in embarrassment.

King Hades turned to Calpurnia. “I heard you insulted Pit pretty bad.”

Calpurnia smiled. “I did.”

“If only you can find a good potential husband now. I would be a lot easier if you were so cruel.”

Everyone except Calpurnia laughed light-heartedly at the comment. Calpurnia just stuck her tongue out in response.

Ike glared at the happy, laughing group. “Dammit! My plan didn’t work. And I was so friggin’ close too!!!” he hissed under his breath. Ike’s face was red and his body was trembling from anger. He clenched his fists for hard enough and long enough now that they were starting to turn white.

Snake was right beside Ike, trying to cheer him up. “Come on, Ike, it’s just one loss.”

“Yeah, and it will be the only loss.” Ike responded to Snake’s dismay. “I say we stop and just let things go. I personally don’t want to lose again.”

Snake quickly tried to change Ike’s mind. “But I have an idea.”

“Pointless.” Ike said plainly.

“Just hear me out ok?”

Ike really didn’t want to hear it. He was tired. But at the same time he honestly didn’t care. “Fine, go ahead. How can you possibly stop Link and Jade from getting together?”

Snake smiled. He hoped his plan would catch Ike’s attention. “You know how I hook up with Samus occasionally right? You know, one of Jade’s servants?”

“Yeah?”

“Here’s the plan. You’ll go tell Prince Marth and Sir Link that I’m Jade’s lover. Of course, they’re not going to believe it. So we’re going to prove it.”

Ike’s scowl lightened up. “Go on.”

“I’ll ‘roleplay’ with Samus in Jade’s room. While we’re doing it, you’re going to take Prince Marth and Claudio outside by Jade’s bedroom window. But not close enough to see what’s really going on. When they hear us, they’ll think that Jade is an unloyal skank. Not only will it really piss off Link, I’m sure it will make Marth upset too, as well as break up Link and Jade’s relationship. What do you think?”

From the start to present point of the conversation, Ike’s expression had gone from a scowl to a cruel grin. “If this works, I think I’ll actually PAY you.”

The next morning, Captain Pit was in the library looking at pictures of delicious food when he heard Link, Marth and Hades outside in the hall.

Pit quickly but quietly closed his book and hid behind the shelf. I’m so not listening to that dumb romance stuff again. The angel thought to himself.

Link, Marth and Hades knew that Pit was inside, and they had something to say alright. It was about romance, but it wasn’t about Link and Jade’s romance.

King Hades whispered to Prince Marth and Sir Link, “You guys ready?” They nodded in reply. “Let’s do this.”

Marth cleared his throat. “My lord, Hades, what was it that you told me about your daughter Calpurnia being in love with Captain Pit?”

“Yes your highness, do tell. I don’t think Calpurnia would’ve ever come to love anybody.”

“I didn’t think so either. But the way she always made fun of him. It should’ve been obvious. She’s madly in love with him.” King Hades said.

The conversation between the three was loud enough so Pit could eavesdrop. And he was hearing everything.

Marth asked, “Has she told him?”

“No, and she says she never will. That is the weight she carries on her shoulders every day.” King Hades said with slight drama in his voice.

“How do you know this for sure?”

“Because Jade told me so.” Hades explained. “She overheard Calpurnia talking to herself, saying her feelings out loud. When Jade took a closer look she saw that Calpurnia was righting a love letter. She was pouring out her deepest emotions, her heart and soul into the whole letter. But after she finished it, she ripped it up into a thousand pieces.”

“Hey Jade told me about that.” Link added. “Calpurnia was kicking and cursing, then she fell to her knees. Jade heard her scream, ‘Oh sweet Pit! Gods please end this torment!’”

Marth included, “Yeah, and her torment would only be worse if Pit knew about it. He would torture her endlessly and would for sure break her heart. She may be a little rough around the edges but she is still sensitive. She’s kind and gentle, but at the same time she’s strong and wise. Calpurnia’s a great person overall.”

“She is.” Hades vouched for his daughter.

Link asked, “Why don’t we just tell Pit?”

“Are you serious? He’ll not only torture her but reject her.” Marth exclaimed. “Calpurnia’s psyche is fragile as it is. If Pit rejects Calpurnia, she’d probably die of a broken heart. And we shouldn’t meddle in love affairs, let them be in ignorant bliss.”

All of them nodded in agreement for extra measure. “I think dinner’s ready, let’s go eat.” King Hades and the two soldiers walked toward the dining hall. Once they were far enough away from the library they chuckled aloud, feeling quite satisfied with themselves. “Surely Pit must’ve heard us.” The King said.

Link added, “I’ll bet money that this will work.”

“If this does work, then we’ll be better matchmakers than Cupid himself.” Marth exclaimed triumphantly.

Back in the library, Pit was blushing, the heat burning under his skin. All he could hear was the sound of his own heartbeat. He couldn’t believe what he just heard.

“Is it really true? It has to be!” a giddy grin curled from ear to ear. “If Jade said it was true, then it HAS to to be! I have to return her feelings! I’ll look like a total jerk if I don’t!” Pit couldn’t stop smiling. A thousand images buzzed around in his skull. All of them were Calpurnia. “When I said I wouldn’t let myself get into anything serious, I thought I would never meet someone who truly loved me so deeply.” As Pit turned around to exit the library he saw Calpurnia coming his way. Speak of the devil, here she comes. He thought to himself.

“Father begged me to come get you, dinner’s ready.” The Princess said plainly.

For once, food wasn’t the thing on the angel’s mind. “’Begged you’? So, against your will? Thank you for going through such tough times to come and get me.”

“If it was against my will, then I wouldn’t have come.”

“So you liked coming to get me?”

“I liked it as much as you would like sleighing innocent humans. See you at dinner.” Calpurnia said bluntly before she left.

Pit had a goofy smile and hearts were popping out of his head. “She is SO into me.”
